Remote with SCT2260 (PT2260) chip

Bought on ebay under the name "#gib 2 Channel Key Garage Gate Door Wireless Remote Control Transmitter 433MHz"

It has a  Silvan Chip SCT2260. Looks like a clone or PT2260 because they have same specs.

The remote does not come with DIP switches so the address pins must be soldered if one want to change the address.

The remote seem to be good quality and well working (except it should have had DIP switches).

Is powered by 12V battery type 27A.

This chip is typically called "Fixed code" chip, which is misleading because you can actually change the code by changing the address. Another chip EV1527 is typically called "Learning code" chip, which is also misleading because EV1527 has a fixed code that is set during manufacturing (a serial number) and it can not be changed. The reason EV1527 is called "Learning code" chip is because it must be used with receivers that can learn codes (because there is no other way to communicate the serial number as it is not printed on the chip). But if you have a receiver that can learn codes, it can also learn eg. PT2260. So the naming is just confusing.
