Wireless Remote Control Duplicator

Bought on ebay as "Wireless Remote Control Duplicator Key Cloning Gate for Garage Door 433/315MHz"

Philips Electronic Basis LAB

Was in the basement looking for parts and found this kit I got as Christmas present from my parents when I was 10(?) years old. There are some parts missing but the main parts are there: 2 transistors, an op-amp and a variable inductor(?). I guess it would work if I tried to build something:-) Was thinking about ripping the op-amp, but I ordered some on ebay instead. So the kit got to live a little longer:-)

433MHZ Helical Antenna

Bought on ebay as "10pcs 433MHZ Helical Antenna for Arduino Remote Control".

Can use instead of 17cm straight wire. I don't know much much effect i has to use this antenna vs. using no antenna at all (or 17cm whip), but it "feels" better to use something instead of nothing:-)

My old Raspberry Pi B

Aluminum heaters bought here http://www.dx.com/p/aluminum-heat-sink-for-raspberry-pi-silver-3pcs-336768#.VNzwgC7uQYI. Glued on with steel epoxy glue.

I rarely use it so will probably sell it soon.

Wireless temperature thermometer WS590H range fix

Had a problem with a wireless temperature kit.

Bought on Clas Ohlson Art nr.: 36-1795
Type WS590H

The range was very poor and I had a hard time just to pair the transmitter and receiver, even when having them side by side. When paired it usually worked but when the batteries needed replacing it was the same problem again...

Remote with EV1527 chip

Bought on ebay as "315MHz 433MHz DC12V 2 Channel RF Wireless Remote Control Learning Code EV1527". I got the 433 version.

Silvan Chip EV1527
http://aitendo3.sakura.ne.jp/aitendo_data/product_img/wireless/315MHz-2012/RX315-HT48R/EV1527.pdf

Is powered by 12V battery type 27A.

Remote with SCT2260 (PT2260) chip

Bought on ebay under the name "#gib 2 Channel Key Garage Gate Door Wireless Remote Control Transmitter 433MHz"

It has a  Silvan Chip SCT2260. Looks like a clone or PT2260 because they have same specs.

Silvanchip SCT2260 http://www.sc-tech.cn/SCT2260.pdf

PTC PT2260 http://www.princeton.com.tw/Portals/0/Product/PT2260_4.pdf

The remote does not come with DIP switches so the address pins must be soldered if one want to change the address.

The remote seem to be good quality and well working (except it should have had DIP switches).

Is powered by 12V battery type 27A.

2.5" SATA USB cases

The black ones are usb 3.0. The silver ones are usb 2.0.
There is VIA chip in one of the black ones, it works really bad, keeps coming up as a strange device in device manager: VLI manufacture String

VIA is hopeless. The other one is ok.

Nexa remote control power switches

I was unable to read  only markings on the chip.
433MHz

Bought on Clas Ohlson: http://www.clasohlson.com/no/Nexa-PE-3-3-pack-fjernstr%C3%B8mbrytere/36-4602
Works very well.

Nexa seems to be a rebrand of COCO power switches:

PL2303HX USB To TTL Auto Converter Adapter controller Module for arduino

I have ordered some 433MHx receivers and transmitters and is trying to communicate with them from a PC. I had a USB to TTL adapter lying around and figured I try that first (will try to hook it up to Arduino next).

QI wireless charging

I have a Nexus 5 and a Nexus 7 v2 and discovered they support wireless changing via QI standard. Bought one of these http://www.dx.com/p/qi-x5-mobile-wireless-charger-black-298118 and it worked great. Ordered a second one, but noticed the packing was different: first one was in a cardbox, second one was just in a plastic bag. They look the same thou. But when I plugged in the second one it did not work, no led was lit and it did not work. Was about to RMA it, but then I dissected it instead.
